The dreamy fisher town of LUPERON lays along the large Luperon bay, protected from winds by its surrounding mountains. Luperon is only a 45 min drive from the city of Puerto Plata. It was founded in the early 1800, but it has since the days of Columbus been known as the safest hurricane shelter in the Caribbean.

Because of its surrounding hills and protective mangroves Luperon has remained until today, as one of the most popular Sailing and Yachting Destinations in the Caribbean .
